India Child Empowerment: Supporting Education at RASMI Residential School for Girls
As part of the Nova Spark Foundation's mission to empower orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide, we are proud to announce the expansion of our reach to India. Through the India Child Empowerment initiative, we now support the education of underprivileged girls at the RASMI Residential School for Girls, helping to create brighter futures for children in need.
The RASMI Residential School for Girls was founded in 1999 by the Dr. D. Parwathappa Memorial Trust, in memory of Dr. P. Surendra's daughter, Rasmi. Located in Davangere, India, the school provides free education to underprivileged girls from destitute families, offering them hope and a chance for a brighter future.
Originally starting with just 25 girls in a rented house, RASMI has since grown and graduated hundreds of students. The school's mission is to educate the most underprivileged, focusing on the values of independence and discipline. Beyond education, the institution also provides a safe environment for women who have escaped challenging and dangerous situations, integrating them into the support staff.
Funded primarily by Dr. Surendra's family, RASMI has expanded its support through contributions from individuals and organizations worldwide. The school continues to impact the lives of young girls, enabling them to build better futures for themselves and their families.
How We Support RASMI:
